No

To follow up, apparently Vescey has reported that on NBATV, and seperately on ESPN's Clipper forum, a poster deemed to not likely be a troll (from past behavior) is saying the same thing, and is allegedly (I know, I know, bad word for this kind of thing) someone who was told by the same source about Kobe re-signing with the Lakers about a half an hour before it hit the media. So it seems like the ball is in our court. If we want him, he's ours.

Hicks
01-11-2006, 09:59 PM
And I could care less if he's done for the season. We won't win a title this year, if he's out for the year he's signed through summer 2009, so we have plenty of time to build around a trio of Maggette, Granger, and O'Neal.

Don't you get it? He's signed for the next 3 years after this one. If it's either keeping nutball shelved for the rest of the year, or having him injured this year, but ready and signed for 3 more, you do it. It's easily the best talent we could get for Ron.

We have a group of players who want to win and Walsh has stated he's gonna make a deal that would make the Pacers win now Keyword: "NOW".

If Corey was healthy I would be wetting my pants but we aren't gonna waste a opportunity and trade Ron for a player who is most likely done for the year...

He's a mediocre at best defender from what I've read, but he's an offensive stud. Physical and finess, and he draws a lot of fouls, and shoots an 80-something FT%. Also grabs about 6rebounds and 3assists.

He shoots a bajillion of freethrows, we need someone who can do that from SG, we depend too much on threes.

In a way Artest got us Granger because he was the main reason our record was so bad and we got #17.

Why you say that?

We wouldn't even have a chance at getting him if he wasn't injured because it's been said the Clippers already turned the offer down before the latest injury update. This drives down the price we need to shell out to get him

Good game tonight. We really put some poionts on the board. I don't believe we are a contender right now but we are in the top ten. Remember what the Pacers made out of last season? I think we are alot better off now then we were last year. Atleast it's only Artest that is complatley unavailable.
