Are you happy with your teamís season so far? Jermaine O'Neal (http://www.hoopshype.com/players/jermaine_oneal.htm): No, what are we now, 18-13? You canít be happy about that.
You had lot of distractions this season. Did they influence your teamís results at all?
JO: No, thatís how it is supposed to be. If youíve got distractions, youíve got to figure out the way around them. We had a lot of close games that we shouldíve won. So, when you ask me if weíre happy right now, we cannot be happy with the average play. Especially if we want to compete for the championshipÖ We are not playing like one of those five teams that were picked to win a championship.
Where do you think you are compared to that elite group?
JO: Weíre not in their class right now. Because, simply put, this league is based on wins and losses and right now we donít have an elite record. We are not playing at the level of San Antonio (http://www.hoopshype.com/Library/teams/san_antonio.htm), Dallas (http://www.hoopshype.com/Library/teams/dallas.htm), and Detroit (http://www.hoopshype.com/Library/teams/detroit.htm), obviously. Itís not even five elite teams anymore. Miami (http://www.hoopshype.com/Library/teams/miami.htm) was picked to be one, but they came up West and theyíve been drilled by New Orleans (http://www.hoopshype.com/Library/teams/new_orleans.htm), theyíve been drilled by Phoenix (http://www.hoopshype.com/Library/teams/phoenix.htm)Ö Iím pretty sure that Shaq (http://www.hoopshype.com/players/shaquille_oneal.htm), Dwyane (http://www.hoopshype.com/players/dwyane_wade.htm) and those guys are not happy about that either.
How do you feel about your chances until the end of the regular season?
JO: The season doesnít end with the regular season. Two years ago, we tallied the best record in the league and we didnít win a championship. Last year, we started the season well, but didnít finish it that way. Iím sure that we will have a great finish of the season, but right now, Iím not happy how my team is playing.
What are your personal goals for this season?
JO: Iím just trying to put myself in the position to dominate the opponents. You canít do that when you come up with pneumonia, but Iíll be back in the starting lineup and hopefully start my thing going again very soon.

You know JO would pick up the phone and trade ARtest himself if he could.

GetOdom, your thread title does not have anything to do with what you posted. You cut the article one paragraph to soon.

Posters must go to the link provided to find that statement.

Here's the statement.

Being here in Sacramento tonight and considering how many trade scenarios involved your team in the last month or so, does having Peja Stojakovic on your team make sense to you, either through a trade or next summer through free agency?

JO: That doesn’t make sense to us, because he doesn’t fit into what we are trying to do. We are a defense-oriented team. He’s more of an offensive player. He’s a great player, but style is everything, and we don’t go up-and-down as Sacramento does. We don’t pass the ball between our legs, we don’t do all that flashy stuff. We are more of a conservative, controlled offensive team. We really rest our hats on the defensive end. Sacramento isn’t really a defensive team. So I think that the style of play will be tougher for him to grasp. My preference is to get a guy who can play defense. You know, like Bonzi Wells or Al Harrington. Those guys really play on both ends of the floor. Stojakovic is great, one of the best offensive players in the league, but defensively, he doesn’t fit in what we’re doing.

Either J.O. is just repeating himself or that quote that Will just posted is about a month old

Odom, you don't have to put up intriguing titles just to get people to read your threads.

He used the same title hoopshype did, he just didn't paste the part about JO wanting a defender.

What about "Being here in Sacramento (http://www.hoopshype.com/Library/teams/sacramento.htm) tonight " or "No, what are we now, 18-13?"

I think JO is just repeating himself.
