Why they would do it:

ATL: They get something for Al Harrington. That something is better than they could ever hope for in the off-season. An all-star locked up for 5 years. And they have said to be willing to give up Childress before. They have too many SFs as is anyways.

BOS: Draft picks would have to be included from possibly all the other teams but in the end they get Harrington (a player they could resign at the end of the season or not thus saving cap space) and Childress, a very good young player. If Boston doesn't agree to this, Freddie Jones could be included and it would work.

DEN: They get Artest and only give up Martin and Lenard, two guys who by now have apartments on the trading block.

IND: Give up Pollard and Artest and a pick or two and get Pierce? Why not?

That's not bad - I like it.

Any deal that lands us an all-star caliber player (preferably at SG, but SF,PG or C is good also) without us having to give up JO, Granger, Saras & 1st round picks is a deal I like.

That leaves us with (at least):

Saras/Pierce/Granger/JO/big-guy

where the 2nd big man could be the player who's left after the trade between Foster/Pollard/Harrison/Croshere

I'm aware I'm leaving Tinsley,Jackson & Freddie expendable, but IMO - they are...

Atl. won't deal Al for Nene, what makes you think they'll take Voshon Lenard's sorry ***?
