Carlisle has already beaten Brown.

The magic number is ZERO, haven't you heard?

standings = scoreboard!

I come here to make a simple, intelligent, factual post and you resort with namecalling.

Intelligent (you are incapable) Factual (I dont think you know the meaning of the word)

Lets see you start your intelligent post with Carloser. Hmm that sounds simple intelligent and factual to me. You say Carloser of course because he has that terribel winning % of 55-20??? Or is it because he is only the second coach in the history of the NBA to win division titles his first three season in a row?

If the regular season means nothing, then your post means nothing, because there is no playoff matchup of the Pistons and Pacers in the near future.

Why don't you wait until the conference finals until you post again?

On second thought, why don't you wait until the 2010 conference finals until you post again?

:P

As for Carlisle, so far he still hasn't done anything that makes me want to hire him for president of a franchise. Carlisle's record with the Pacers is not significantly better than Thomas.

I believe Isiah's overall winning percentage as coach was something along the lines of 54% while Carlisle's winning percentage is more like 73%

Those are not exact but are pretty close. I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Or we could compare only Isiah's 1st year thru the 75th game to make it more fair?

So can he? So what if the Pacers just beat the Bucks. LOL! The Bucks; 3-1 versus the "big, bad Pacers" of the Eastern Conference...ooooo...1-3? LOL! What a joke, the Bucks shouldn't even be in the playoffs.

So lets get this straight the Pacers are losers because the Bucks won 3 out of 4. But if they beat the Pistons 3 out of four times they are also losers? Ok logical in your racist liberal way.

for Carloser versus the Pistons--Don't think so! Looks like all of the rednecks on here will be eating crow big time after Sunday.

Revenge is so sweet when it is served cold.

By cold do you mean the cold of knowing that no matter what the Pistons can not catch the Pacers?? You might not be aware of this because it happened in the real world rather than in socialist world but last night the Pacers mathematically eliminated the Pistons from being able to get the best record in the east.

s is a new Detorit Pistons team and the versatility of Rasheed Wallace will be the demise of the Pacers. O'Neal does not stand a chance versus the Wallaces, as has been proven time and time again.

So by does not stand a chance as been proven time and time again you mean the way Jermaine averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds a game against Ben???? Or was it the 18 points and 11 rebounds against Sheed??

for Carlisle, so far he still hasn't done anything that makes me want to hire him for president of a franchise.

Um ok I am not sure what that has to do with anything since he is the COACH If you are trying to compair him to Isiah then on merritt (I know that is a foreign idea to you) he would be way way ahead.

Carlisle's record with the Pacers is not significantly better than Thomas.

Ok so clinching the best in the East and being best in the league so far is not better than colapsing your way into the playoffs?? Oh I get it it is the merritt thing you dont understand.

Carly is trying. Unfortunately the Master has outlasted the student. Isiah Thomas has proven his new team can beat his old and that he is also the better GM or President when the Knicks beat the Pacers 97-90 on Febraruary 3rd. Thomas is making another championship potential team. As a matter of fact I am willing bet that last year's Pacers team would beat this one decisively.

I am seeing a pattern here. To you success is failure and failure is success. I get it :unimpressed: Championship potential???????? last years beat this one??? some on are there drugs that powerfull?

As for this "Central Division Champion" stuff, it doesn't mean jack. The playoffs are what counts and Carloser has proven that he can't get his team to the Finals. The Pistons got 100x better when Larry Brown was signed and in all likelihood will kick the Pacers' butts on Sunday and in the playoffs, unless Thomas's Knicks beat them to it.

Its good that you think Central division is nothing since Isiah could not get it. And you are finaly right about one thing the playoffs are all that matters and that is where Isiah failed the most. Rick went to the ECF with less tallent then the Pistons have now or the Pacers. Isiah failed.

Face it Pester Fans, some of you wished for Carloser and now you got it: but this season will end just like the past 3-in disappointment...Then, what will you be saying? You'll be crying and Larry Bird will be calling Isiah, begging him to come back...He's yours folks, Carlisle, who will take us back to the sub .500 seasons.

You are right I wished for Rick and I am happy he is here. Will you come back and admit you were wrong when the Knicks are out of the playoffs and the Pacers are in the finals?? No of course you wont. You said the Pacers would be worse off without Isiah and I dont see you admiting you were wrong there either.

You know what the ultimate punchline to this gag is? Polly really has posted here. Just under a less "recognized" handle.

In fact, that's what tipped me off that this wasn't the real Polly.
