View Full Version : Just for fun... why not Odom AND Kwame?

It gets to the root of those nasty "which one do we trade for" problems by getting both.

Pacers trade Ron, Tinsley, Pollard, Austin, and AJ
Lakers trade Odom, Kwame, Devean George, Sasha Vujacic, and Von Wafer.

Lakers get three probable starters out of the deal: Austin, Ron, and either Tinsley or AJ (AJ might actually be a great PG in Jackson's triangle).

We get a starting lineup of JO/Odom/George (I know, I know)/Jackson, and Saras, with Foster/Kwame/Granger/Jones/Sasha off the bench. That's a solid 10-man rotation, if a little weak in the backcourt.

No chance, I know. Like I said, just for fun.

EDIT: Mods, please move this to the correct forum. Sorry about that.

Phil Jackson wouldn't want tinsley. He isn't a triangle PG.

He'd love Austin, but enough to make him want to give up Odom? I don't know.

I didn't know anybody wanted Kwame.

I heard Kwame mentioned in the forum a couple of times but nothing pressing.

According to any trade proposals, Kwame is in the trade and not Odom.

After the Pacers trade Artest to GS I'd love it if they would make a trade for Kwame.

Pollard and a 2nd rounder for Kwame might work. The Lakers are getting a big center for the rest of the year and $6 million in cap space this summer. The 2nd round pick is just a little sweetener but maybe they'd rather have Eddie Gill instead.
