Simple question. Simple answer. Vote and state your reason for voting as you did.

These are the 12 most mentioned players for Artest, not counting the All-Stars which don't look like it will happen (Peja, Odom, Shard)

I went with Big Al. I simply feel he's the best overall player of the bunch. I like what he brings to us, I like his versatility. And ofcourse, he's the sentimental pick.

I went for Howard, because of who he is and his contract...

I went with Al, because most like him and he has seemed to improve.

And, I doubt he would give us problems chemistry wise.

Actually, I just did a search, and there's not been such a thread posted since the entire Artest ordeal came about last Saturday night.
Many, many threads posting rurmors about different players. Many, many threads discussing specific players. But no thread asking YOU (the poster) whom you'd like in return for Ron.

I went with Shane Battier. The guy is all hustle, an excellent defender, and he has an excellent field goal percentage.

However, I would be more then happy with Josh Howard, Al Harrington or Andre Iguodala.

Where's Vince Carter? :(

Of those listed, I went with Iggy.

Iggy would fit in best for the future and would make a strong D duo w/ Granger at the SG+SF positions...

Plus he can play shooting guard.

Ben Gordon

Based on the question posed, I assumed it was a 1 for 1 trade. That is the only reason I would not have chose Iguodala, then secondarily Josh Howard. I think with Jax and Granger, we have enough talent at SF.

I think Ben Gordon brings a dimension to the team that we lack. That is extreme quickness. He is also very young and has a nice 3pt stroke. I think he will get better as time goes on.

Now, if I thought Iguodala would be a strong SG, I might change may opinion. Also, if it is a package deal (rather than a 1 for 1 trade) including Jax, we will need another GF swingman to help Granger.

Josh Howard would be a good fit but Mavs won't deal him. Part I like about Al coming back is the transition should be quick , Al has played with most of the core players here in the past.

...but if only Paul Pierce was on the list. He is the top notch second option the Pacers need...and I would drop Artest AND Jax for him.

I voted Ben Gordon because I really like his style of play. But I'm also in the Al camp.

Josh Howard is really special. I voted for Iggy because I think he's got a ton of talent and I'm a Mavs fan. Don't want Josh to go anywhere.

Why isn't Rashard Lewis on the list. I think eventually, Lewis makes the most sense. Seattle is probably more willing to part with him than some of the other players mentioned on other teams. Artest, Reggie Evans and Fortson would inflict physical pain on opponents. Maybe the Pacers aren't so sold on Lewis if in fact available. He's just average at best defensively.

I think Igoudala is a no-brainer here.

Iggy and Howard are the easy picks here. We'll never get Iggy though, but Dallas might be desperate/insane enough to give us Howard. Howard is the pick.

I didnt even want to bother voting for Josh and Iggy cause there is no chance in hell we get them.

I voted Iguodala, but Battier, Howard, Pietrus or Butler are all good too...

I doubt we have any real chance of getting Iggy or Howard. As was said they would pretty much be "no brainers". Pietrus would be okay with me bundled with one of their young bigs.

But since I believe Danny Granger is our small forward of the future, I'd really like the Pacers to find someone who can make a difference in our inside game. I consider Al Harrington a big but am beginning to doubt he's available, so I'd most prefer to roll the dice and go for the player who could ultimately help us the most in the future: NENE.
