I dont know about you guys but if we trade Ron for a starter, don't you see SJax complaining about being the third option?? Why don't we try to package them together and try to land TMac or some all-star? I think our team would be solid if we had JO plus a 1st/2nd option and some role players.

I thought about this too. But I haven't been able to come up with a realistic proposition, that is, a top 3 shooting guard that will fit in this team and his current team is willing to give him up. For example, I'd like to do this trade :

but I doubt the Lakers would wanna do this.
Anyone anything better to offer?

With all these joke proposals flying around, I'm not sure what to take seriously... I certainly hope nobody actually thinks we're getting Kobe...

Silly trade proposals like Raskolnikov's are a waste of people's time and a waste of bandwidth. Cut the crap.

Here's an idea on a 3-way:

:thepacers get:
Vince Carter

:rockets: get:
Stephen Jackson
Marc Jackson

:nets: get:
Rafer Alston
Ron Artest
Lonny Baxter
Eddie Gill
Stromile Swift

This coincides with news that the Nets want Swift, and Marc is uhappy in NJ. Also, Rox fans have expressed they want SJax in the past.

I'm sure this could be tweaked, but it's feasible.

C - Foster/Hulk/Polly
PF - JO/Cro/Walker
SF - Carter/Granger
SG - Freddie/AJ
PG - Tins/Runi

Then we try to package Freddie or AJ with Bender and Polly's contracts to upgrade the 2, as well as sign Snap. :)

Is Jon Koncack still under contract?

Cut the attitude; this place is for all trade proposals.

I was thinking something like this:

Indiana Trade Breakdown
Outgoing

Stephen Jackson
6-8 SG from Oak Hill Academy (HS)
14.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.2 apg in 35.3 minutes

Ron Artest
6-7 SF from St. John's
19.4 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.2 apg in 37.8 minutes

Austin Croshere
6-10 PF from Providence
8.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.0 apg in 27.1 minutes
Incoming

Luther Head
6-3 PG from Illinois
9.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.4 apg in 26.5 minutes

Tracy McGrady
6-8 SF from Mount Zion Christian Academy (HS)
24.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 4.7 apg in 38.0 minutes
Change in team outlook: -8.6 ppg, -4.8 rpg, and +1.7 apg.

Houston Trade Breakdown
Outgoing

Luther Head
6-3 PG from Illinois
9.3 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.4 apg in 26.5 minutes

Tracy McGrady
6-8 SF from Mount Zion Christian Academy (HS)
24.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 4.7 apg in 38.0 minutes
Incoming

Stephen Jackson
6-8 SG from Oak Hill Academy (HS)
14.2 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.2 apg in 35.3 minutes

Ron Artest
6-7 SF from St. John's
19.4 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.2 apg in 37.8 minutes

Austin Croshere
6-10 PF from Providence
8.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.0 apg in 27.1 minutes
Change in team outlook: +8.6 ppg, +4.8 rpg, and -1.7 apg.

Successful Scenario
Due to Indiana and Houston being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Indiana and Houston had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

And maybe a draft pick from houston because it seems a little lopsided but thats just me
