I missed it when he talked about the Pacers and Ron. he wasn't on until about 9:00 tonight, usually he's on starting at 7:00, so I figured he wasn't going to be on.

Anyone catch what he said

EDIT: Here is what I just heard Vescey say about Artest going to NY.

Vescey: Isiah hated Artest. Isiah did not want Artest on the playoff roster in the 2003 playoffs. Isiah had J.O go to TPTB, to demand Tinsley, Artest, and Mercer be traded. (remember that article)

Isiah did not want to coach Artest. He hated Artest

No, but I read on IS that Stephen A. is saying we're giving Ron to the Heat for Posey and Doleac. I think he's full of it.

Stephen A Smith is stupid, he says we are going to trade Ron to the Heat because the Heat want a championship and Shaq can handle Ron. I was like WTF does that have to do with the Pacers then, should we give them Jermaine too?

He said that was a complete guess.

Why would we do a crap trade like that

I guess I would not mind getting
Posey,
but we would have to get something other than Doleac along with him

He said that on the ESPN preview show. They were playing a game where SAS was DW, and the trades he was asking for were weak. He obviously thinks the Pacers won't get anything for Ronnie

Vescey just said a mouthful about the Pacers circa summer 2003. Isiah hated coaching Ron Artest. Did not want Ron on the playoff roster that year. He's the one who told JO to tell Donnie/Larry "Trade Artest, Mercer, Tinsley or I don't resign.

Interesting, was it well known that Zeke didn't care for Tins?

The Warriors are on ESPN, anyone who can stay up late, how about doing some scouting for us. Although I think Pietrus is injured

I watch the Warriors all the time, their guys off limits are JRich and Baron. Now other then them the only guys I would want are Pietrus and Diogu. Dunleavy is way to inconsitent, and his contract is huge. Foyle sucks and probably isnt better then Scot Pollard.

All stehpen A wants is reactions like he is getting now. Its all
about the ratings thats why i hate listening to crappy analyst who
don't have any clue. He may catch wind of something but 99% of
time its his own hot air. Does Artest to the heat sound better
than Artest to the Hawks.

One other thing. Help me out here Hicks. Vescey also said that either Isiah or J.O was really mad at Vescey for reporting that J.O had demanded trading those 3 players, because J.O thought Isiah leaked this to Vescey. Vescey said he got this info from someone else within the Pacers organization.

Hicks, I forget who was mad at whom. But the point is Vescey has a great source within the Pacers organization, although I think we already knew that

wait a minute. Isiah hated Ron and Tins? WTF?????

This is way out in left field. I thought Isiah "discovered" Tins and that Ron was his "dog"?

The honeymoon ended between Tinsley and Isiah. I don't remember details but I certainly remember all was not good.

I had no idea Isiah wanted no part of Ron or was the reason that JO made the alleged demand that the Rons and Tins be moved.

I wish someone would have listened to him because we'd probably be in a lot better shape today.

I remember hearing about JO going to TPTB and asking for Tinsley and Mercer to be traded. I don't remember any mention of Artest however. I don't even know if I remember hearing that Isiah prompted all of this.

I do remember that JO was mad at Isiah, briefly, because he thought that he leaked this to Vescey.

EDIT: I was surprised to hear that Isiah would want him on the Knicks to begin with. I think he did the obligatory thing and called to see what Donnie would take for him. By saying he won't trade Frye, Robinson, AND David Lee he has a built in excuse for not trading for him. Although, he probably never wanted him to begin with.
