With the loss of Ron, I wonder how children are taking this. Does anyone have children who are fans of Ron?

Wasn't it Ron Artest who, after the brawl said he was most upset by his actions because it made children in the audience cry?

I wonder what his loss will mean to the younger fans? Just one more reason why professional athletes need to think through before they come out and pull stunts like Ron is accustomed to pulling.

I feel bad for the parents who have been spending time at night trying to ease the hurt feelings. Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Geezer Jr. was a big fan of RA's until I told him about the demand. His comment then was "Oh great, we've got Spreewell on our hands"

I'm sorry. But when I read the title of this thread, I figured it was a joke.

The kids are fine people. Please.

I wonder how Ben Wallace's brother's daugher is taking this. She seemed to upset watching Fred Jones' head attack her daddies fist. This might destroy her for good.

 Awesome.

My daughter, 10, who has a Ron Artest jersey, said, "awww. He's my favorite player." But it wasn't a real sad statement, it had more of a "life goes on" tone about it.

I was explaining the situation to my son, 8, especially the part about Ron wanting more shots, and he looks up and says, "maybe we'll be better off without him." Then he added, "Nobody likes a ball hog." He's a wise one, that kid.

I guarantee you one thing the "children" are handling this much better than I am

I think Sally Struthers is running an infomercial raising money for the children tramatized by Ron's demands.

I honestly do not care how the children are doing or reacting to Ron Artest's stupidity.

Thats exactly how my younger Andrew reacted when I told him the news.

Alex, well he wanted to beat up Ron until I told him that Ron is a beast..he'd fart and you'd faint..so now he hides all his Ronnie stuff in this box and is too sad to take it out...

Poor Kids. :console:
