JO's eye (he got poked in it by Grant late in the 4th) has to be examined, it is very red and he can't see out of it (according to Rick Ron had to "guide" his FT's right after the foul).
Ron might have a broken nose, again, checks need to be made but it looks like it is broken (again)

physical is one thing, but this imo is somewhat overdone.

I was afraid that Ronnie broke his nose. He also tweeked his ankle

Hopefully J.O's eye is not damaged, that is scary

God, I hope JO's EYE is OK! :o That's very scary to think about. What if he's lost his vision permanently in it??

And when did Ron break his nose?

And when did Ron break his nose?

I highly doubt that Jermaine has permanently lost vision in his right eye.

Ron was going for a rebound when Caron Butler's arm and (Ron's) face collided. Then, Butler and his teammate scrambled for the ball--If you remember what point in the game that was.

edit: It was midway through the 4th period.

It all happened in the game, funny how you guys are all worried over JO and his eye but not about Ron, his ankle and nose :D

but I know nothing more, can not get to wibc atm, and heck I am living in London UK remember :)

You are the guys close to the fire!

eyes are far more resillient then bones or muscle tissue, trust me :)

Ron was battling for a rebound under the Miami basket midway through the fourth period , that when they think it happened , no word if it offically broken though.

Late in the game either Quinn or Al mentioned Ron 'Scrunching his nose'... or something like that. It had happened just prior to the comment but he played thru it and they said no more.

Eye injuries suck but if treated properly they heal rather quickly. JO may warrant a patch to aid in the healing for a day or so but the fact he finished the game makes me think it won't be too serious.

I am assuming when they say he couldn't see from it that it is meant he had trouble keeping it open and not blinking.... not that he was blinded in it. I can't imagine any scenario where he'd be continuing in the game if that was the case. He'd be on his way to the hospital.

Talking about eye injuries makes me cringe for two reasons. A friend of mine got poked in the eye by his son and it became infected to the point that he will never regain full eyesight in that eye again.

The second reason is because of the injury that Reggie took just before our first round exit to Atlanta several years ago....

I'm not worried in the least about Artest, whether his nose is broken or not. The man just flat out plays. The way I figure it, unless he were in a full-body cast, he would somehow find a way to be on the court.

As for JO and his eye, let's don't panic and jump to weird-*** hypotheticals. Someone gets poked in the eye almost every every day of the season. It's rarely a serious thing.

If Ron's nose is broken, they need to make a mask that looks like Jasons instead of one of the clear ones. That'll scare his opponents even more.

Naaaaa. If I were an opposing player, I'd rather have Jason coming at me than the Beast. With Jason, at least you'd die a quick death. Artest will just roast you the whole game, after which you'll die that slow death of humiliation and embarrassment.

As I said, eye injuries suck. Something I was going to say, but didn't, is that JO will likely be getting immediate and PROPER attention (and watched closely) so I doubt we see anything like an unchecked infection becoming an issue.

But now that you have me thinking about it.... there was the Cleveland Browns player that got the flag in the eye. I don't think he ever played again. :(

Reggie had broken bones around his eye socket didn't he? Different situation in that case.

I will add I've had a couple of eye injuries and I did not get proper treatment when I went to the emergency room. Things got worse before getting better.... . So I had a couple of days of following their treatment with decline not improvement. Things got better when I was sent to a real Opthamologist who explained what was done wrong and set me on my way to healing.

The second time I had a very similar injury and got the proper treatment at the start and so things healed much faster.

If JO's injury was like mine then it is within the realm of possibility that he would miss Tuesday's game BUT the fact he continued on makes me think it wasn't as serious.

Too tired to do a picture, but I did find this online. I didn't notice this during the game, but he must've slipped it on after the injury.......

How did you put it behind the hands?

Had to lasso the mask around the hands .. then I pasted into the cut out area and scaled it down to fit Artest's head lol

I commented to my wife during the game that it looked like Ron got his nose broken. I hadn't heard anything to confirm my initial thoughts until today though.

AND.... when Brian Grant put his thumb into Jermains eye, it almost looked intentional IMO.... although I've never thought of Grant as the kind of dirty player that would do something like that. It was probably just an unfortunate accident but it did look kinda suspicious to me.
