Ugh - picking 15th. That's a dogmeat position. Oh well - I'll make it work.

I was just looking at some players that might be available at 13, not to bad.

After the first 6 it does tapper off a little.

I always like either the 1st 5-6 or starting at 20 or later.

The top group are the knock your socks off guys - if you get one of them and he stays healthy you really have to screw it up not to make the playoffs.

That bottom group gets you 2 players in the 2nd tier. There isn't much difference between players at 10 and 20 but there often is between 25 and 35. I haven't looked at it closely enough to see if that holds true this year but it usually does.

I just looked around as well, and I hate my 14th pick. In my opinion, the first 13 guys exactly are all good quality guys you can build a team around...but stupid #14 hurts me.

On my board, there's an elite 6, and guess where I landed; 6th.

Works out pretty nice, and unless an oddball gets picked a player will drop right to me.

Damn, 7. Its still relatively high, but its not the elite. But I'll still get a good squad.

Dead middle is the worst, IMO. At least dead last gets you two consecutive picks.

I used to think so, which is why I was pissed getting the 14th overall pick.

But then I somehow managed to walk away with Brand and JRich.

And Marion went #12!?!

Oh, yeah!

I am extremely happy with Marion @ 12.

Not too bad with Bosh with my next pick either.

I have ten more chances to screw it up though.

:-)

I seriously thought about taking Marion or Brand at 6, but Kobe was too much to pass up at the time.

Then making the trade to get Iverson, and the ability to draft Dwight Howard was very cool. So glad I made the trade now as at 43 the C's drop off, and someone would've taken Howard. Just waiting to see what's around at 59, as I can kind of pick any postion at this point whenever Howard officially gets his F/C tag.

CJax-

I don't think you'll have any prob with getting Howard tagged to FC.

Would have liked Howard or Bosh -- flip a coin, I think.

If the Raptors had anyone else that could play on that wretched team, maybe Bosh's numbers wouldn't be as good.
