the report (http://www.nba.com/games/20051013/MILDET/recap.html) from the bucks v pistons pre-season match..

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Ben Wallace gave top pick Andrew Bogut an early lesson.

Wallace dominated the inside with eight points, 13 rebounds and four blocks and stymied Bogut as the Detroit Pistons posted a 95-88 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in preseason action.

The NBA Defensive Player of the Year each of the last three seasons, Wallace bothered Bogut, who was playing his second preseason game since being selected No. 1 overall by the Bucks.

Bogut, who had nine points and nine rebounds in his debut with Milwaukee on Wednesday, managed just three free throws and was 0-of-4 from the floor in 21 minutes.

Wallace took advantage and teamed with Chauncey Billups to help the Pistons take control in the third quarter. Billups finished with 16 points and made four 3-pointers, including three in a span of less than two minutes in the third.

Wallace's follow shot with 66 seconds to go in the period gave Detroit the lead for good, 65-64.

Darko Milicic had 10 points and nine rebounds for the Pistons, who got 11 total points in the closing minutes from rookies Jason Maxiell and Amir Johnson.

Trying to nail down the starting point guard duties for the Bucks, Maurice Williams scored 19 points in 25 minutes.
