So, yeah... how 'bout them Broncos? Yeesh.

The best game of the day so far has to be NO/Carolina. Two 45+ yard field goals within the last 90 seconds to determine the game.

Judging by stats and scores, Tennessee and Houston looked terrible.

Finally, the Cowboys are still terrible. Yay Parcells.

How about those Vikings?

Oh, and the Bucs aren't too shabby on D.

No question that they have talent but that team was supposedly old...

What the hell... Dallas is now up by a touchdown?

Ha, it looks like there's as many Cowboys fans in SD as Chargers fans.

Every bad throw Brees makes accelerates the Rivers countdown.....

What?? no. Rivers is going to be traded.. Brees's job is safe .. as long as he does not collapse totally .. which I do not see happening

The Niners are owning the Rams... :-o

What the hell is with the Rams? Did they receive their pre-game pep talk from the Broncos?

At least the Cardinals are currently winning. I had them beating up on the Giants.

Frank Slade

Brees' job isn't safe.

No way you can possibly believe that.

Last season doesn't matter for him (whether that's fair or not). This is his last year as a Charger.

If Brees is not a Charger next year , it will not be because of prodcution.
It will be because they could not afford to keep him.

Obviously.

No one said otherwise. But economics are kind of important in the salary cap world of the NFL.

Oh ok I though from the post according to his first half production passing wise that was what your were implying.

And economics are indeed more than kind of important perhaps the most important than any other pro league. No doubt there.

All I meant there was that every tiny mistake Brees makes forces Rivers closer to the starting position, because of what the team has invested in him.

He proved in the pre-season that the team wouldn't fall apart with him at QB, so they need to get him on the field after giving him all that money.

True they are in a pickle there either way, due to the amount they have invested in him, especially if Brees has a year any where near he had last year.

Im down here in Florida(From Indy) and im stuck with the Lions-Pack game. Can you imagine a worse punishment? This game reminds me of going to the dentist. And on top of that, i was stuck with Broncos/Dolphins. Oh well, go Pack.....Even though Marcus caught the touchdown that came a play after he dropped one in the end zone....hmm...Marcus Pollard dropping a pass....thats new!!

Agassi. Federer. CBS.

Believe me, I've been switching back and forth for some time now. Looks like I better just stick to tennis.

'Zona just went for a two point conversion to tie in the middle of the third quarter. Of course they failed. I don't think you should go for two until it's the fourth, or if you're down by multiple touchdowns.

Lions are all alone in first place and ther season is only 7 hours old. God I love the NFC.

So far, so good. Good to see Rogers back and healthy.

Far from perfect, but still a great day.

Week 1 was great. Upsets, blow outs, tight games, and, praise the Lord Almighty, REAL FOOTBALL!!!!

My Colts looked great, Kyle Orton was decent for a rookie thrown into the quarterback hell of Chicago. Bign Ben and the Steel looked frightening. A great season awaits, and I'm just estatic that it finally started!
