The NFL has reduced by one game the suspension of Indianapolis Colts’ safety Mike Doss, providing he complies with undisclosed conditions of the reduction. The announcement was made today.

Doss was suspended without pay for the first two games of the regular season on June 15 for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. With the reduction, he’s eligible to join the Colts’ active roster next Monday.

Doss, the Colts’ second-round pick in 2003, missed all five preseason games while dealing with a groin injury.

Watcing from the sidelines.

I like the safety line-up of Sanders at SS and Jefferson at FS.

I hope Jefferson can hack it. We shall soon see.

I agree.... thank GOD for Sanders, Jackson and even Hayden... I think Doss may be gone after this year

I think it's a mistake to give up on Doss so soon. He can still be an impact player, and you can't deny that he has a nose for the ball.

On an unrelated note, ESPN2 is currently doing the "Denver Broncos 2004" story.

They just covered the Colts game (the regular season one) and acted as though it was some huge, difficult struggle against a superior team. They didn't even mention it was against the Colts 3rd stringers, so we could rest up to kill them next week. It was hilarious.

Turn it to ESPN2 now to see us beat them in the playoffs again.
The 2004 Denver Broncos faced adversity in the last week of the reguar season, while competing against the likes of Jim Sorgi and the tough Colt offense, including Aaron Morehead. The Broncos defeated the savages, and it gave them a lot of confidence.

They began talking smack in newspaper stories saying the Colts were a soft group of players.

Then one week later the Broncos were yet again owned by the Colts in the first round of the playoffs..

I agree. He will get another chance, and it's going to be up to him to produce.

From what I saw in the pre-season, Sanders and JoJeff looked fine to me. But, to have Doss come in as a back-up is really nice. You won't lose much if JoJeff needs a breather and Doss comes in, and that's a really nice thing to have.

I agree. Doss may not be the best cover guy, but he fly's to the ball and puts big hits on people. I've always been a fan of his. Minus the gun stuff.
