To summerize the article: Chad Hutchinson finished Friday nights game with a 0.00 and has a 23.1 rating for the preseason. Orton has completed 27 of 42 passes for 409 yard with 2 touchdowns and 2 picks and a passer rating of 92.3

I think making Orton the starter is the right decision. He is the QB of the future in Chicago and if he starts to struggle then they can always bring the vetern Jeff Blake off the bench. Next year when Grossman comes back I do expect for him to compete for the starting job but IMO Orton is gonna be the future.

I'm a Purdue student, and when I watched Kyle play last year (at the beginning of the season) he truely reminded me of a young Payton Manning, even more so than Eli. Kyle has all the tools to be a great NFL quarterback, he just needs to focus and continue to learn.

I think he would have went alot higher in the draft if it wasn't for that bowl game. He'll be a good QB.

Not really. I prefer watching Bears fans amp themselves up and then be terribly disappointed. Too bad Ethan already knows what's in store.

Was Peyton ever BENCHED in the middle of his senior year at Tennessee? I forget.....

Speaking to a number of Purdue students, their general consensus on this seems to be that they don't think the Bears have much interest in winning. Ever.

Leave it do Pur-don't to get on another team for not winning enough.....

I went to the Bears/ Browns game last night. Free luxury box seats - that was nice.

Both teams suck, royally.

But, man, the Bears fans really love their Bears, no matter how much they suck.

Orton completed a strike on the first play from scrimmage. On the second play from scrimmage, he was lucky the defender dropped the ball. On the third play, a different defender did not drop it. And the Bears didn't move the ball again until the Browns had their fourth string defense in the game.

I wouldn't advise anyone to pay full price - or anything close to it - to watch either of those two teams play this season.

So is there another College Team other than Purdue that has 2 current starters in the NFL ?

I'm fairly sure there are some colleges out there that have more than 2 starters in the NFL....

Oh yeah , lol I meant QB Starters !
