The pictures attached are used to test the level of stress a person can handle.

One teacher said, "I felt like they were all moving...but slowly. Kind of like, they were breathing."

The slower the pictures move, the better your ability of handling stress.

Alleged criminals that were tested see them spinning around madly; however,

Senior citizens and kids see them standing still.

Note- These pictures are NOT animated. They are static images.

Um, I'm not scientist, but I suspect those are fairly standard optical illusion patterns. I kind of doubt they have anything to do with stress.

I don't know about stress, but this very much reminds me of that time at a concert when someone told me to slip a very small square of paper under my tongue and hold it there. . . If I could just blare some Parliament in the background, the illusion would be complete.

They all move slowly, and only if you move your eyes. If you focus on one part of the pic independently, they don't move at all.

And I know this is faulty, because I'm easily the most on-edge, stressed-out person I know. :disturbed

You seemed so calm in person. It's not dealing with provocative posters putting articles up about conditions in Detroit that has you so stressed is it?

I handle it very well. I have to, because usually everyone else around me is so busy freaking out, that somebody needs to stay calm and try to figure things out. :uhoh:

Doesn't mean I couldn't pop at a moment's notice, though. ;)

I made the mistake of reading this thread after I read the one about Randy Moss smoking pot. I'm not stressed I'm paranoid.

The more you twitch your eyes around, the more it moves. Maybe stressed out people can't stand to see something moving about in the corner of their eye without checking to see what it is?
