View Full Version : My completely irrelevant rant!

I'm sitting here at my computer. I'm looking all over the place for anything Pacers related. I've made about 10 different posts at about 10 different websites, Pacers related. Each post different then the other. Each one though, preaching that teams get ready.

Then I started sampling music, trying to find something that fits the Pacers. Detroit has Kid Rock, who is a Detroit native. Who does Indiana have? Michael Jackson? Maybe we should make our theme, 'Beat it.' Beat it actually has some pretty cool lyrics. Could be a way of saying we'll overcome what Detroit has done to us in the past two seasons.

[1st Verse]
They Told Him Don't You Ever Come Around Here
Don't Wanna See Your Face, You Better Disappear
The Fire's In Their Eyes And Their Words Are Really Clear
So Beat It, Just Beat It

[2nd Verse]
You Better Run, You Better Do What You Can
Don't Wanna See No Blood, Don't Be A Macho Man
You Wanna Be Tough, Better Do What You Can
So Beat It, But You Wanna Be Bad

[3rd Verse]
They're Out To Get You, Better Leave While You Can
Don't Wanna Be A Boy, You Wanna Be A Man
You Wanna Stay Alive, Better Do What You Can
So Beat It, Just Beat It

[4th Verse]
You Have To Show Them That You're Really Not Scared
You're Playin' With Your Life, This Ain't No Truth Or Dare
They'll Kick You, Then They Beat You,
Then They'll Tell You It's Fair
So Beat It, But You Wanna Be Bad

I guess that's to much thinking on my part.

So then I try and figure out the rotation for the 40th time this week. I usually write down the names on a peice of paper and then figure out how much time and points they'll have. The team averages I come up with are wildly to high, with the team averaging 110-130 points per game. The way I have it figured, we'll win every game this season.

So I start asking around, who had the best offseason.... Usually people say Cleveland and then I'll correct them.

I'm so very, very, very bored. I'm ready for the season to start already. WNBA games do nothing for me and I'm ready to see Ron, Danny, and Saras play. I wish I could be in a coma until the season starts.

I was eating black licorice when I read Fig's post. Hadn't had it in a long time. Good stuff in moderation.

It's times like this I miss "Random Thoughts."

Maybe I should start a new one. Does anyone know the count now? Would it be RT IV or V?

We're getting a little bit of rain here and there in Northern Kosciusko County. I don't believe we've had a single Tornado warning this year. Good stuff.

Indy has Tech-9 which is a pretty good rap group. They originally came out with the "get crunked" before Ying-Yang Twins and Lil Jon started using it.

Also there's going to be a new rap group coming out, the just recently moved from Muncie to Chicago to be close to the producers, called KM2(2=squared). They're currently touring in Europe right now, and I played ball almost daily with one of the M's. So hopefully we'll see them on the scene here pretty soon.

I think everyone should move to LA so I have even more of a remote chance of ever buying a house.

74, low humidity, and a light breeze at the beach. :buddies:

The only thing better than that is knowing that it will be just about the same in February.

Yes, living in southern California is really expensive ... and worth every single penny. :)

I had to work at the Marion County Fair Saturday and so I grabbed a bag of red licorice and put it in my cooler. It was very good.

I might buy more for this weekend.

This is the coolest it's been all month, or at least for the past two or three weeks. It's been well past a hundred the past couple days. If you watched the Cub game the other night and saw the sweat rolling off of Jason Schmidt's hat you would get the jist of all of this. I live about an hour and a half outside of Indy, how is it over there?
