I think the Cavs definitely need to upgrade their bench. If we face 'em in round 1, we should wear them down considerably in that department.

Tried. They're playing by the rules, which means it's NOT ON THE AIR!

Aaargh.

Oh, well, I have an appointment in an hour anyway.

I guess the Pacers will just have to win without me. :P  :P

Why does ABC want to show PHI and DET in regional coverage over LeBron James and the #1 team in the NBA. I think RTV6 should have been in someones ear in NY about our poor choice for "regional" coverage.

JO is making up for his last two games by the look of it, he is ovrepowering the inside and challengin them to foul him.
Williams already two fouls on Ron, so he'll be going to the bench, Ron has a nack for getting fouled when he gets in.

Defense needed to warm up the first 2 minutes, since then they have done so, making it hard for the cavemen.

:stupid:

Hicks
03-14-2004, 04:20 PM
And we're back.

JO steps up to the line, misses the FT.

Ronnie steals the pass, takes it in, layup. :)

that was a steal and not a turn over :)

Fred somewhat shaky coming out, just like Al, who forgot to defend on the previous play.

let's give 'm 20 seconds to get into the flow.

:stupid:

JO looks hot, he has the paint on the offensive side, now our problem is the 2 on Ron, which makes it hard to play intense on James.

:stupid:

Missed FT JO reb,

Hicks
03-14-2004, 04:30 PM
LeBron misses the extra shot, JO rebounds.

Tinsley, Jones, Harrington, O'Neal, Foster out there.

JO hits the 1st. Misses the 2nd.

Cavs have it, 20-19 Pacers.

McGinnis misses the 3, JO rebounds.

Jones throws it away, James accelerates into the lane, hits the layup and someone fouled him.

3 pt play for Jmes, P's 2 down.

Jones drills the jumper.

22-all.

Battie hits a jumphook.

JO knocks down a short jumper.

24-all 1:33 left in the 1st.

James on Miller, loses it out of bounds on the iso.

Croshere misses the shot, Al tip dunks it. Called for a T for hanging on the rim. :scream:

James misses the T FT.

Al Harrington makes 75% of the team's dumb mistakes/errors, I think.

Tie game as the clock starts to run out in the period...

As added information, in each of their 5 previous victories the cavemen had a 11 + point lead after the 1st Q and held on to that.

JO is uhhh well JO :D

Ron will come back in and stop their starters again, soon :) but I think our second unit can now make the difference, I just wish Al showed some play he can show instead of turning it over and not playing attention on defense.

Hicks

Great game, to bad Ron is in foul trouble, JO more then makes up, if someone could tell Al that playing defense is something else then picking up stupid fouls and we play some defense the second half then this team has nothing to tell us in the end.

Also the chances are they can not keep up this stellar shooting, it would be a near impossiblity and if they don't then they are dead meat.

Yeah, JO has had a very nice first half. Still doesn't hide the fact that we've given up 62 first half points, James 20 and it's halftime, and Cleveland is shooting .634%.

It'll be interesting to see what defensive adjustments Carlisle makes during halftime. Will it be an offensive shootout? Will it all come back to reality in the second half and we take control? Will players FINALLY miss shots, ie Nailon? Let's hope so.

Even IF (God forbid) we lose, then I still maintain my stance that we would blow this team out in a best of 7 as simple as that.

We all know we will now win all games between now and the end of the season, and there is no game I would like us to lose, they are shooting 70% in the second q, they will not keep that up, besides that we usually come out defending after the break.

Hate seeing sequences like that. Steal it then turn it right back over and they get the score out of it :(

Need to go on a run real soon.

I cant believe ABC chose Knicks/Bucks over this.

The National package has not been worth a damn since ABC/ESPN has taken over for NBC. I don't care...I miss NBC doing the NBA.

there is little defense played outside of JO and Ron, that is the main problem.

Al is shooting great, but simply not there when defense needs him

same goes for Bender who is great offensive but not defending anything out there.

We will see Jeff back in shortly is my guess.

I must say though that Pollie could have meant some defense, but some see it different

Jones back in

JO takes in another one

Hicks
03-14-2004, 06:01 PM
Ollie to shoot the 2 Free Throws.

Hits the 1st one. Wagner back in.

Hits the 2nd.

97-92 Cavs.

Jones back in.

JO hits the right-hand runner.

97-94, Cavs ball.

Ollie beats the shot clock with a mother****ing THREE. :(

Steal by Ollie.

James throws it away.

I've been watching the Spurs and keeping up on here. They seem hesitant to show any replays of close calls in the game I'm watching. Very poor coverage overall.

Well, for what it is worth, It looks like Cleveland will be higher then an eigth seed. Personally, I think they are heading for 6th, possibly 5th because there schedule is very comparable to ours...EASY!

On the radio pregame, it was mentioned more then once that, "since the McInnis trade, Clevland has the 3rd best record in the East".

I still feel we can squeeze a win out of this, but am amzed by our lack of defense, and their shot percentage.

unprecedented high scoring for a P's game, seems we forgot the defense first concept, where is Jeff ?

we need some stops and preferably some Booms Babies from Reg and Tins.

another stop needed after the time out from the Cavs

what are we going for: quick score and the final shot or drawn clock and the chance for the stop?
