Hmm looks like it is gonna be quiet here tonight.

Boston broadcast saying that JO was doubtful and Carlisle didn't even think he was gonna play tonight. His knee that bad?

Pretty good start so far.

Tinsley with a three.
Reggie with a three and a layup.

We're getting some steals on defense. O'Neal looks to be posting up, but he did get stripped of the ball.

10-2 Pacers.

O'Neal draws the early foul on Blount which is good. He makes the free throws which is even better.

I would love for the Pacers to get a rematch with the C's in the playoffs this season so that PacerTom, SR, and I can get our revenge for having to sit through the loss at the Fleet Center in last season's playoff.

Trust me, there is not ONE team out there that wants to play the P's in the playoffs!

Just wonder if they are gonna close this out in the same style as thet are coming out now.

Al steps on the line the previous possession, then crosses over the line giving the ball back yet again to the Celtics.

Too many inside baskets in a row for Boston. Good timeout by Rick.

Amazing how many fouls Ron is drawing lately.

Southside_Pacer
03-12-2004, 09:04 PM
Our defense isn't looking all that sharp right now. We're giving them VERY easy shots inside, They musht tighten down on the lanes so they can't get in there.

Ron misses two free throws.

zxc
03-12-2004, 09:06 PM
Well a promising start to a 2 point lead after 1. Lucky to still have lead think we scored like 6 points final 7 minutes of quarter. JO has been horribly ineffective so far and Ron isn't doing much either. Hope things come back together. Ricky Davis giving us alot of trouble as usual =\

Southside_Pacer
03-12-2004, 09:06 PM
I'm kinda bummed that we're only up two after the first considering we were up 18-6 in this quarter.

Now it's only 22-20. Harrington had three turnovers which Boston scored off of. He shot an air ball which was pretty ugly. Boston's getting into the paint WAY too easy in the early goings.

Positives are that Ron keeps drawing fouls inside. He's already drawn two fouls on Welsch and one on Pierce. O'Neal has drawn one on Blount.

Bender sighting to start the second half.

Although he travels on the first possession of the 2nd quarter.

We scored 4 points in the last 5 minutes of the 2nd quarter. The officials are talking to the coaches for whatever reason. I'm guessing a clock issue.

Southside_Pacer
03-12-2004, 09:10 PM
Celtics were supposed to get the ball to start the second quarter.

So that Bender turnover "never happend."

Once again we allow Boston a path to get to the basket pretty easily. Pierce scores with ease.

AJ answers with a long jumper.

Hey Southside - how much longer do you think Hunter will be at IUPUI?

I think he'll be there awhile. He did sign a pretty big contract for a mid-major last year. He toyed with the idea of going to Cleveland State last season which would have been an AWFUL move since it's lateral, and IUPUI as a program is leaps and bounds better than Cleveland State.

The main thing is that Hunter wants a new gym built, and I believe that's going to happen really soon. In the meantime I think he said on his coaches show that IUPUI will have about five home games next year at Conseco Fieldhouse, which will be awesome.

I love Coach Hunter! I hope he stays for awhile because he's a great coach. He's tough on his players, yet he loves them all. Recruiting has gotten better each year, the team has had more wins each season since we've turned D1, and his Mid Con Tourney record is very impressive.

He also takes him out to thank the band and cheerleaders just like the players do. It's great that all three groups are so close.

To me it's a slump if it lasts for more than 1 game. This is game 2 for sure, but if I recall he still didn't shoot it all that well in Denver, just took a lot of shots.

Still, exclude that if you want, and it started Tuesday and continues now.

Al with a pretty fade-a-way jumper.
