I hope to make this post a tradition should everyone find it worthwhile. Anyhow, this is the first Pacers Karma post. In other words, if you're a Pacers fan, this post is like knocking on wood or bringing good luck to the team.

I don't know about you, but the more I trash-talk before a game, it often seems to backfire. For instance, I really believed the Colts were going to whip the Patsies yesterday and that the Pacers were going to win in Sactown a few weekes ago. Of course, every time I get that feeling, the team loses. What does that have to do with anything? Follow along, post your predictions, and bring some good karma to the Pacers . . .

Some random predictions of tomorrow's Pacers vs. Pistons game:

-Chauncey Billups scores a game high 52 points.
-Big Ben Wallace shuts down the entire Pacers front-court single-handedly recording that oh-so-rare quadruple double, scoring 25 points, grabbing 31 rebounds, blocking 16 shots, and grabbing 11 steals.
-Darko records a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards, then celebrates later on by lighting a fart.
-Jermaine O'Neal scores 6 points, shooting 3 for 27 from the field
-Ron Artest goes ape-***** and grabs Al Alberts and throws him 9 rows into the stands, injuring 5 people.
-Tinsley gains 30 pounds overnight indulging on Papa John's and Reese's Cups, then gets repeatedly burned by the Piston's backcourt.
-Baby Al gets 2 Tech's and is ejected before the opening tip.
-Oh, and Dick Bevetta shows up to ref the game.

Final Score:

Pistons 141
Pacers 53

:D

There is no need to use reverse psychology on the reverse jinx thread, my friend.

I forgot to mention Chucky Atkins will hit a league record 13 - 3 pointers, in the first quarter!!!

The Pacers will dominate the Pistons, just like the Colts did the Patriots.

I'm really nervous about this game. I probably won't sleep tonight. In fact, I think I need a vomit sock! :puke:

I just hope we don't revert to a few years back when Jermaine tried to hit Ben with his man purse. That was just embarassing. :boxer:

Ben will no doubt start it by whispering in JO's ear......"Jermaine......I am your father.........." :duel:

JO will go crazy and start running into the crowds...and then the Pacers will perform a rendition of "Pinnochio"

During which Ben Wallace will score 48 pts, get 45 reb, and block 43 shots

Book it.

That's nothing. He's going to have 70 in the 1st quarter.

Wilt will be turning over in his grave when Ben breaks both his rebounding record AND his points record in the same game tomorrow.

Worst things that could happen:

Tinsley: Will revert back to his street ball days and turn it over 8 times

Miller: Will die of old age in the 3rd quarter

Artest: If you thought the camera incident was bad.... wait till you see him tomorrow

O'neal: Forgets to braid hair and refuses to exit the locker room

Foster: Fouls out in the 1st Quarter

Harrington: Re-injures Knee

AJ: On way to Arena, confused for a local bum and hauled away to jail

F. Jones: Hoists 10 three pointers, atleast one of them hits the rim

Bender: Gives in and screams "I AM A BUST" at the half

In the lockerroom prior to the game, JO comes out of the closet to explain that he has always "admired" Isaiah since he kissed Magic Johnson during the All-Star pre-game introductions. "Whatta beast!"

Some more random predictions  :

-The Pistons shoot a scorching 97% from the field, holding the Pacers to an even 2%
-Pacers are out-rebounded 57-4
-Prince and Artest nearly get in a fight; However, Ron gets scared and runs to the locker room crying like a little girl
-The halftime feature is NOT the frisbee dogs. (Man, I love the frisbee dogs)
-Finally, the Pistons make a last second 3 pointer at the end of each quarter. Oh, and they're fouled on each shot as well

Holy crap, now I don't look the like the most paranoid pessimist around here anymore.

Let's try this one:

In a new version of Retro night, Larry Brown coaches the Pacers and Rick coaches the Pistons. Everyone associated with the Pacers quits except Brown's new favorite PG and Bender. Brewer scores all 7 Pacers points and "holds" Billups to 36 points on 15-16 shooting in a thunderous 136 - 7 defeat. Bender has the "deer in the headlights" look all night. Brown says after the game, "I'm really proud of this team, I haven't really had a guard play the right way since Haywoode Workman." Iverson then goes for 67 points in his next game against the Pacers.
