Juan Dixon's the only NBA player who's gonna testify.

Just look at that moose - you know the only way he built up that much is with steroids.

One of the 24/7 sports stations up here was talking about the steroids issue in sports, and had a highlight reel going on while they spoke about it. The highlight reel focussed on guys that have testified to using steroids, and then out of the blue they just show some film of Amare dunking on guys...as if they are suspecting him of using them?

You know you're good when people just randomly suspect you of using steroids...unless I missed something?

I can't see steroids being of much use in basketball though maybe I'm stereotyping here - maybe we'll find out that gymnasts use them.

I watched the whole thing this afternoon while I was using the computer.

There were instances where I felt that Stern and Hunter were not in agreement on, but they tried to mask that in front of the representatives. Basically, they both got grilled for not testing veterans during the season.

At least I got a good laugh out of seeing Stern squirm at some of the questions

Well, basketball is more of an endurance issue than pure speed. A person would have to be crazy to take some sort of steroids constantly while playing basketball, I would figure death would come pretty quickly, if pitchers can die from warm-up.

That was a weight lose pill that the pitcher died from........

Steroids are not just to obtain mass muscle, they can help recover from fatique and injury quicker.

This is crazy. I can't believe Congress is taking time on this thing. Who the heck cares? That's a solution for the open market, not legislators!

The NBA needs to test for Weed!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe our players would be more focused. I'll get off my soap box on that subject now for the remainder of the Summer.

Congress has no business spending my tax dollars sticking its nose in something that is absolutely none of its business.

Now, if the rights of players in a particular sport are being violated then the court system and possibly even Congress should become involved.

I'm not stating whatsoever that I am against rules within a league to control steroids or any other drug, I am just stating where the responsibility to establish such rules lies. And that certainly is NOT in Congress.
