Went to Maggiano's restaurant here in Indianpolis this evening for a nice dinner with some of my family and none other than James Jones walks in with what I would guess was his mom and dad, his wife, and a couple of sisters.

I recognized him right away, but refused to bother him.

My mom who is a huge Pacer fan snuck over to the table at which JJ was sitting and spoke to him for a few minutes, wished him good luck tomorrow and she said JJ was really a nice down to earth guy, and so cute.

About 20 minutes later my dad comes back from the restroom and says he saw JJ in there and they spoke for a few minutes. JJ asked if he had watched the game and then they talked about Reggie last second shot and Larry's comments. My dad also said that JJ was a really nice friendly down to earth guy.

Then as we were walking out unknown to us JJ and family must have walked out a few seconds before we did and as they pulled away they waved to us.

That's it.

They didn't say, "Hey, has AJ ever mentioned our son, Unclebuck? He's a famous poster and we know AJ is a lurker......."

You left out the part where JJ grabbed the last meatball, snarfed it down, then said "And 1 MuthaFuc...!!"

I've eaten there many times and it is excellent. Veal Ravioli. Not as good as soup, but still good

I used to live just down the street. It's very good. I'd recommend the Chicken Parmesean.

That's awesome! I wish I could have encounters with the players like that. YOU and YOUR FAMILY are lucky. :)

Lucky you!

I have not been able to meet anyone in public like that before. Last year, my parents were going out to eat with some older people with no children, so I decided to ditch them and go to a friend's house.

A.J. Foyt was eating at the place they chose to eat that evening...

James is a really nice guy, after games he pulls in to the parking lot in his Escalade and signs autographs and talks to people. Very nice guy.

Probably, lol. They didn't want to bother him, but I most likely would have at least asked him for an autograph.
