View Full Version : Only residents of Indy can go to games 3 and 4

I am really upset the Pacers are doing this. I live in Chicago, but I am one of the biggest Pacers fans you will ever meet. I was planning on going to game 4 of this series, then today I found out they are limiting the sales to residents of Indiana only. I feel like breaking out in tears knowing that I may not be able to see Reggie play again. I have to say ***** whoever came up with this brilliant idea. Why would they do this? Just to keep Pistons fans from going? *******it.

Do you know anyone who has residency here? Might be good to start negotiating with one of them now.....

No, I don't know anyone who lives there, but If anyone is willing to do me a HUGE favor, PM me and Ill give you the details of the tickets i want (3 tickets for the 38 dollar price range) and Ill give you my cell phone number and we can meet outside the arena an hour and a half before the game and I will reimberse you. I don't expect anybody to do this for me, but i would be extraordinarily greatful to someone if they did...

or, you can just get an indianapolis area resident to give you his/her address and get them online through ticketmaster.

I would use ebay, personally.....there is also the season ticket holder exchange at pacers.com, but they might have restrictions too....

I would consider doing it if I was going to the game and/or didn't live two hours away from Indy....

Good luck!!

That won't work. Once you get to the payment section and go to put in your credit card info (which would have a billing address in Chicago) it won't allow it.

Your best bet is to go to EBAY. I haven't bought tickets from ticketmaster in over 4 years but I still manage to get tickets whenever I want - even for games that are supposedly sold out - on EBAY.

If I hadn't just bought 6 tickets and completely wiped out my account, I'd buy em for ya. But yeah, I've only got $70 left......

Also, you might check with BigMac. He may be able to help you out and you won't get screwed on ticket prices.

At first I thought this would a humorous reference to my comments in the superstitions thread.

But after the rude treatment we received in last season's ECFs, I've got no problem with that rule at all.

And for the record, I'm going to games #3 and 4, but I'm still a season-ticket holder even though I've got a Chicago address.

Jay,

I hear the Eagle Creek Elementary School Boys and Girls Chior has a performance that night. And they are the opening act for the 3rd grade plastic flute performance that night. Should be a great concert for you. I've already purchased your tickets and your seats are reserved.

Please drop off your pacer tickets at the will call window in the name of Greg Roberts and they'll be holding your "concert" tickets for you.

Don't worry, we'll have a small TV set-up outside the auditorium for a post concert score update for you.

It might be a Pacers v. Pistons rule - IIRC, Kstat had the same problem with his Christmas Day tickets.

If its not The Boss or Bono, I'm not all that interested. Possible exception => Don Henley.

Very well done. :applaud:

We'll also make sure the choir rips out some quality Boss tunes.

Jay, I will even throw in TWO complimentary kids meals good at all participating McDonalds. Thank you for your patronage.

Its seems we have similar opinions in basketball, and the exact opposite in music. :)

Its not a playoff rule, because i went to games 4 and 6 of the celtics series. But, its a pistons thing. I am going to use stubhub i think.

Wow that was weird man, but how are u gona proof that you are from Indy? Show ID or something? Does that stand on an American ID? How does this work?

When you order from ticket master you have to give your adress, and if your address isnt in indiana then you are ****ed. But, got the tickets from stubhub, so all good.

Alright...

Nobody came up with a suitable concert, so I'm heading out.

Y'all know the drill, stop by "204" and say "Hi" this weekend.

If it turns out that the Pacers are playing better when I'm in the beer line (and the only two good minutes of basketball that they played during Game #4 occurred when I was in the beer line) then you can find me at Bowser's Dog Pound, with the slowest concession workers in recorded history. But hey, at least those old ladies were around when the Germans discoverd Beer.

No "War Cry" thread yet, but here's my contribution:
