Hate these 10:30 starts. Warriors really hurting with injuries it seems, should be a good opportunity to get off to a nice start on the road trip.

Yeah this start time blows. I wish when it's a West team hosting an East team they'd bite the bullet and be more considerate to the away team fans.

Oh, and listening online vs TV sucks (when you're not used to it, able ;) )

I'm half serious, but jeez those things are bad luck normally.

Dampier gets us right away. :(

Does he hit these kind of shots vs anyone else? :unimpressed:

Artest hits his first shot of the night then a nice layup next possesion. Hasn't done much so far but he looks pretty good.

Can anyone get a feeling for this game in the early running....Looks like J.O. is a little off. But, it is early.

zxc

Looking good so far. Need to stop Dampier on the offensive boards though.

Course as I hit submit on that.... :(

Tell me about it...

This game has kind of a weird pace to it. Maybe it's just the Warriors TV feed that is throwing me off here. Their color guy must take lessons from Boston's Tommy Heinson...homer city! Is Al and Quinn/Clark this bad?

zxc
03-03-2004, 12:08 AM

To the few of you able to see the game, how does Ron look? I mean, he doesn't have to have a great game to prove he can play at all. I just want to know if he looks like he'll be OK long term (I know it's early to tell).

zxc

For those of you who are unable to watch this game, here are my random observations.

Fun, fun, fun first half. Pacers really got out and ran.

Pacers defense after the first 6 minutes or so has been outstanding, that has gotten the Pacers out running.

It could easily be a 25 point game right now, Pacers missed a lot of payups, Ronie, J.O and Al are not shooting well.

Great to see Artest playing again. His hand is heavily taped and that has hurt his ability to catch and handle the ball.

Al has been agressive and played well but missed some very makable shots.

Oh, Bender, he had a sweet dunk, and another nice swoop to the hoop. Not sure how many rebs he has but it seems like a lot.

See ya later, will check back in after the game.

Cactus Jax
03-03-2004, 12:44 AM
The one thing the Pacers are doing very well, out of many things, is they're running off the Warriors misses, especially Artest. They've gotten at least 5 baskets that way, and at worst it's causing the Warriors to run back.

Winning. On. The. Road. Is. Good. No. Matter. Who. It. Is. Against.

If we won this game by 7,000 you wouldstill post "Could have won by 8,000. And why didn't Tinsley hit 30 consecutive 3's =/"

Don't really care how much we win by. It's the way we play that bothers me. Doesn't bother you that teams can take us out of the game so easily with physical play? The technicals have been piling up for us lately and been slipping into some poor habits despite the wins. Gonna be tough to win playing like this in the playoffs.

Nice win tonight. Scary third quarter, but Dunleavy had a career game. It happens.

Nice to see Ron in the mix. Obviously his hand is bothering him but he didn't seem to be in pain and made some sweet moves to the basket.

Reggie, Bender had good games as well.

It's a win and I'll take it.

And there's a happy ending:

After the game, Robinson headed toward the Pacers locker room -- but only to shake O'Neal's hands. The two were teammates for a season in Portland.
