If Pacers play the Celtics. game #1 at Boston Sat night at 7:00, ESPN

If the Pacers play the Pistons, game #1 Sat afternoon 2:00 ABC.

Indy time

I guess ABC wants to cover a possible brawl or bomb threat

Okay if the game is on ABC will it be shown on the West Coast also? Cause if its not I'm going to be complaining to them.

Thank You, you just made me feel better. I have missed every Pacers game that has been on ABC this year I got scared that I would miss the first game of the playoffs because of their stupid rules.

I, too, didn't pay close enough attention to the details. I read it as saying "Saturday night" in my head, and it stuck me pretty damn funny then.

Must be a inside joke cause I have no idea what the hell yall are talking about.

I took it as an "end of the world" joke in reference to the "I'm not looking forward to the playoffs" thread, but the wrong day was specified. So, now, I just don't know.

We aren't going to win either series. Seriously.

Argh I won't be able to see it no matter what time.

My parents are Catholic (I'm athiest) and are making me be confirmed so my whole Saturday I'll be at church. :(

Damn it! I was gonna go to the Purdue spring game!

Oh, that's right. Game probably won't even start until 7pm then.

I just had a thought. If we do play Detroit, are we gonna take bets on what calamity happens? Maybe when it's official I'll start a thread. Btw, I get dibs on a nuclear explosion (yes, this season of 24 is getting to me. Thank god David Palmer is coming back to save us all.)

It amazes me that anyone would have plans on the day the NBA playoffs start. I'm really not kidding

It amazes me that anyone would have plans on the day the NBA playoffs start. I am 95% serious.

I agree. To me, the first two days of the NBA playoffs are as exciting as the first two days of the NCAA tournament.

Did you see they have all the matchups for the first 2 days on NBA.com?

Saturday
Pistons-(Pacers/Sixers)
Mavs-Rockets
Celtics-(Pacers/Sixers)
Kings-Sonics

Sunday
Heat-(Nets/Cavs)
Bulls-Wizards
Spurs-Nuggets
Suns-Grizzlies

It's at 11am, so trust me, it's okay. I remember 4 years ago we played in the first game, and after the spring game I had plenty of time to make it to Hooters to watch Reggie kick Iverson's ***.

If it makes you feel better, I almost had to work all this weekend, but I told my boss no way in hell.

So torn.

I never miss the thrilling 20 hours of draft coverage on Saturday, but there's a PACER GAME.

I'll probably flip to the game now and again...... :uhoh:

Well it isn't like the Colts will pick in the first round....

The NFL draft is really boring, 15 minutes between picks is outragious. I have not watched the draft in about 7 or 8 years in fact the last time I watched was when Colts GM got all upset at Mel Kiper Jr. That was entertaining

Its exciting, because it adds to the drama.

There is a LOT more wheeling and dealing during the NFL draft, and there are a TON of quality players.

ditch the ceremony, head for a sports bar, watch the game, tell the parents that you belong to the 31 church of Riverside.

Well, the Pacers are winning tonight. It has been confirmed. It's always very easy to pick something like this when a game result leads to a subsequent game and opponent and various start times. How do I know? ....Because I could watch a 2PM game on Saturday but would have to miss a 7PM game. Therefore, the Pacers are destined to play at 7PM.
