We really want the Nets to win this game. If Sixers win they are only one game behind the pacers and Sixers obviously hold the tie-breaker

Question, if the Nets win, are the Cavs out of the playoffs?

No - they'd be tied with 2 games to play and the Nets own the tie-breaker.

Boston's down one to Toronto at the half. Philly's down 18 to Jersey at the half.

This year the playoffs will be interesting. Miami will get Philly, who just beat them. Detroit is gonna get a red-hot Jersey in the first round. We continue our saga with the green guys. Washington and Chicago, two strangers to the postseason, will duke it out in the middle seeds. The winner will take the winner of Miami-Philly (probably Miami), and the winner of Detroit-Jersey (Detroit) will take the winner of Boston-Indiana (Indiana).

All three rounds mean something. This should be a great postseason.

Indeed. The Pacers/Celtics have the potential to build some real post-season rivalry considering this would be the 3rd time in 3 years that they've met in the playoffs.

NJ is the only team to take detroit to 7 games last playoffs. Cleveland, for all intents and purposes, is in 9th, that's what I thought you meant by being out.

Looks like there will be two teams in the playoffs which a lot of people hoped not to see:

NJ Nets and Indy Pacers.

6th & 7th? seed, I am sure Detroit had different thoughts when they got the second seed.

I won't lose any sleep. And I doubt NJ climbs all the way to 7th, or indiana falls to 7th.

....and I'm sure Miami didnt have NJ in mind when they locked up the #1 seed.....

You think NJ is gonna get the 7th seed? I dunno about that, if Philly loses they're still one game up, and their last two games should be cake, while the Nets still have to play a couple playoff teams.

unless you think the bucks or hawks are going to beat philly in their own building, Philly is not dropping to 8th.

I hope the Sixers lose one of their last two so they don't get the 7th seed. They have shown they can beat the Heat and Iverson is a matchup problem for Miami.

I want no part of Detroit.

Washington and Boston are tied right? So it is possible we play Washington in the first round. That would be my pick. They are younger.

No, Boston will get the third seed as division champs, even if Wash. has a better record. If we win tomorrow I think we'll be locked in to the 6th spot, unless Wash drops their last two. It is such a tight race this year.

Your right, I was thinking Washington was in the Atlantic.
