I missed the incident in question but from the descriptions I heard how can it be DD was not suspended? I thought it was basically a zero tolerance situation and he violated it (shoving a ref)?

Dr. Jack just made the comment that Reggie has expanded his game every year.

Huh?

If anything, Reggie has basically been the same type of player since day one. While his consistency is a big part of his success, I think you'd be hard pressed to show much "expansion" in his game from year to year.

He shoots three's, hits free throws, and doesn't get many assists or rebounds. That's been his game every single year.

LMAO Van Gundy was crying about the refs again.Van Gundy was saying that when you play teams like Detroit and Indiana, probably because they've been playing good for so long, that the rule books don't apply. He said he's explained it to the team before going into the Pacers game that they would be battling through illegal screens and ticky-tack fouls all game. He went on to say more things about the officiating but I don't remember it.

I disagree completely. I thought AJ was solid today. The thing I cannot figure out is why you always use the plus / minus stat with AJ only. In the first half Gill was on the floor with Fred, Jeff and J.O. Why aren't you saying that Jeff should be playing more. Makes no sense to me.

I do think Jeff should be playing more. I also would like to have seen Dale and Jermaine in at the same time a little sooner than the 4th quarter. I would like to have not seen them go right back to the dump it into Jermaine offense.

My concern stems from the fact that the last couple of game AJ seems to be regressing. If JT does not come back we are not going to go very far in the playoffs.

Unclebuck
04-17-2005, 11:33 PM
I'll will say this AJ is dead tired right now and that worries me, but the Pacers need him. He almost willed the Pacers to victory Friday night. In the 3rd quarter of the Sixers game he was great

Ragnar
04-18-2005, 12:16 AM
Yes he has been far far better than in the past. I am not saying he has totaly regressed. My dad was over here watching the game against NJ and I pointed out that he usually plays better in the second half if he plays a crappy 1st half (which he did) and sure enough he came back and played well.

Maybe it is just that all of them are dead tired. Once they made the playoffs maybe the weight of what they had been doing simply caught up with them and they are mentaly breaking down.

I sure hope they can overcome it for the playoffs. Durring that game on Friday did they say that Jamaal would be back for tha playoffs. They were talking about someone coming back and they had the camera on Jamaal but I did not hear them say his name.
