I was just thinking of "intangibles," and it dawns on me that we have quite a few folks that have been to the big dance.

Reggie
Croshere
Dale
Jax (San Antonio... right?)
Anthony Johnson (NJ)

Anyway... that is a starting 5 if nothing else.

Pretty much the rest of the rotation has conf. finals experience:

JO
Foster
Pollard
Tinsley
Freddy
Bender ;)
Artest

Four guys without:
Edwards
Harrison
JJ
Gill

I think that's everybody.

Pretty sure Bender & Foster were on the finals team - just didn't play.

Was not Jeff Foster on the list also?

I don't believe Foster was on the Finals team, but I can't remember the two guys at the end of the bench. I'm sure we had a 3rd-string PG, and another big man. Maybe Foster was on there.

Rik / Perkins / ?
Dale / Croshere
Jalen / Mullin / Bender
Reggie /
Jax / Best / ?

If you want to get technical, JJ was on the team in the ECFs. He got no burn, though. Similarly, I don't think Foster or Bender played a minute in the finals. I wouldn't call that "Finals Experience."

I was actually thinking about the Finals in reference to playing in an NBA championship game. As far as ECF... we have alot of that as well.

Bender was on the playoff roster AND played in the finals.

I thought Foster was left off the roster. (I'm a poet and don't know it)

Zan Tabak would've had one roster spot... Big Smooth another...

Right... Zan Tabak and Satan. How could I forget?

I don't think AJ got much play when NJ went to the Finals, I seem to recall him being a pretty seldom-used backup.

Or I could be wrong, I didn't really like watching the Nets. Ugly, ugly jerseys.

I'll increment your variables

You're right... IIRC, Kidd played almost every minute of the finals. The drop-off between Kidd and AJ was absolutely brutal. Of course, AJ wasn't the player he is today.

AJ's job for the Nets was to repeatedly slap the floor with a towel whenever a good play was made.
