We seem to drop a lot of these early afternoon games, and coming off a big win too I expect a letdown. I think if we keep the Wizards FG% low to start the game, we might just hold out and win.

Just heard that Fred isn't playing due to back spasms. First I've heard of that one. I've got the Wizards feed on Sirius. Usually Sirius carries Mark and Slick, because their feed sounds good, and they usually pick the feed with the best audio quality.

Wizards are 4-21 from the field in the early going so far. At the 2 min mark. Pacers are shooting a little better, but not much.

gilpdawg

After 1 Quarter:
Pacers 16
Wiz-11
Pacers shooting 8-22 (.364) from field.
Wizards shooting 5-24 (.208)
Kwame Brown has 6 pts and 6 boards, pretty much keeping the Wizards from having fallen behind.
And to put it in perspective, Iverson had 13 for the Sixers in the first quarter vs. the Celtics and the Sixers are up 38-13 after one.

Sirius doesn't have the rights to stream ball games online. That would be kind of a conflict as the NBA charges to access radio streams. Usually thegamelive works for me when I try it. Maybe since the game isn't on TV you guys flooded it.

What does the Sixer win over the Celts do to the standings?
They're still the same distance behind us, what 2.5 games? And they're not going to catch the Celtics. If the Cavs lose today, that puts a team in between us and the sixers. The sixers win doesn't affect us, but does put some distance on Orlando and NJ. Stick a fork in Orlando, but NJ is a game back I believe, now 1.5 games. They could still catch the sixers, but they're 3 games back of the Cavs even if the Cavs lose today. That will be about impossible to pick up even if the Cavs continue their slide.

Today has just made it more likely that the Pacers will finish in 6th (if the Cavs lose today which is likely) and more likely that it will come down to sixers and NJ for 8th, with the odds going to the sixers.

Close, but not quite.

Pacers are 38-34, the Celtics are 39-34.

Assuming you both stay with the same amount of losses though, the Pacers I believe own the tiebreaker.

Shade, what about the Bulls/Wizards...Wouldn't they get home court advantage and not us?

Assuming you met later in the playoffs, yeah.

But you won't be playing chicago or washington, you'll probably be playing boston.

As for the Cavs, they have a very tough stretch of road games coming up. Assuming you take care of buisness in your own building, you'll own the tiebreaker over them anyway.

We would either have to play the Cavs or the Pistons cause the First seed plays the 4 or 5.
