View Full Version : Who else is watching Kobe v Shaq part II, instead of the NCAA

Maybe I'm getting old, but I tried to watch the NCAA games today, but I was bored, so it's back to the NBA tonight. One problem with college is I don't know any of the players, I know the NBA players, I feel like I am watching people I know.

Oh, and one other thing, the NBA players are better, and I enjoy watching the best players

I agree I much prefer the NBA to the college game.

I tried watching both, but OK State isn't on, or any other team I am interested in. And Shaq-Kobe is just that, Shaq-Kobe. Why should I watch again?

(I picked OK State to go all the way, BTW. They can do it.)

So I am writing right now, about something this forum has been accused of actually. Groupthink, and the lack of individual thought. Its really dry at this point, it reads like its thirsty for something, if that makes any sense. Maybe not. :unimpress I need to 'moisten' it.

Although I suppose I should working on that whole research paper idear. (Yes, I just said "idear") :disappoin

I just used four emoticons, that is a breakthrough. Maybe I'll eat a mint in celebration.

We have no  icon? I'm just disappointed.

Alright you'll beat me...if Gonzaga wins, I'll be 11/12.

I was wanting to watch the Raptors/Pistons game. Damn league pass showing listings for games that are tomorrow instead of today.

Same here. I'm having a great deal of fun watching Fairleigh Dickinson play Illinois right now. I love watching these young men compete!

Wow. I was 12/16, and I've already lost 2 Sweet 16 teams (**** the SEC). Missed Pacific and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

From the looks of this thread, it looks like you're alone.

I posted this list of my personal choices in another thread, but I might as well throw this in here again. Each of these players' teams are still alive in the Tournament, except for Antoine Wright of A&M, who is still playing in the NIT.

Adam Morrison (http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=15399) 6'8" 205 SF (Gonzaga)
Joey Graham (http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=3421) 6'7" 225 SF (Oklahoma St.)
Ronny Turiaf (http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=6585) 6'9" 245 PF/SF (Gonzaga)
Danny Granger (http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=6194) 6'8" 225 SF (New Mexico)
Antoine Wright (http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=11269) 6'7" 205 SG (Texas A&M)
Wayne Simien (http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=5328) 6'8" 255 PF (Kansas)
Charlie Villanueva (http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=15342) 6'11" SF (Connecticut)

*Morrison and Villanueva are sophomores and may not declare for the 2005 Draft. All other players are either seniors or likely to declare.

Unless IU is playing I'm not usually that interested in college basketball. But the NCAA is a whole different animal.

I should have copied off of someone elses brackets

12-4 is not going to win anything.

That is $25 down the drain.

Once in high school I was dead last after the first round and made a thrilling come back all the way to 2nd in the pool (I had the entire great eight, final four, and the finals, though not the winner). Of course, that didn't win me anything but its my best showing so far.

The key is not losing teams you had going a long ways. For example, if you had 14 games right yesterday, but had Alabama in the Final 4, that's worse than having only 11 or 12 wins.

Exactly...I was getting pretty nervous with Illinois yesterday at half time. I have them winning it all.......

Unfortunately, I have Alabama winning their next game too...
