View Full Version : The Pacers the rest of the season.

The Pacers have 19 games left. I think they will go 11-8 the rest of the season and finish 43-39. That will be good enough for 6th place providing they don't have any tiebreakers.

Artest will have set out 60 games after the Chicago game March 26th. If he's going to be reinstated I think it will happen then or not at all. My reasoning is 60 is a nice round figure. It's after the game at Detroit. And we will have 4 national TV games after that. If he comes back . . . well that's not really worth speculation.

I hope not - I am going to that game - my son and I picked this as the local NY game and I have to admit, my heart is not into going (1.5 hour trip to see a shell of our former selves).

I am going for two reasons 1) The boy and 2) to pay respects to Mr. Miller

I do tend to think that Dale being here next year will lead to Reggie changing his mind.

Finishing the season 9-1? Against teams with playoff hopes?

Wow, pass over whatever you're smokin, I could use a lift today. :)

I for one believe that the Pacers who are playing right now have proved the best teams are the teams that 5-8 players can play togather, as a team instead of a one man or maybe two man show.

Well the thing is, you can't really argue with it. LA beat the crap out of us last time, NJ is playing very well, and other teams are just good, or shoot really well, and that is goign to be tough. I don't think we will do this bad, but I could very well see this happening. How long do you think the Pacers can continue to play 500 ball with lesser people who haven't played these kind of minutes before? It could happen

I think Suave is dead on. We're much worse than every team in that stretch at the moment, except perhaps Milwaukee. One win over the Jazz and everyone forgets the recent pounding we received at the hands of Cleveland...or LA...or Seattle...or...

This is what I predicted 4 days ago in the "Summarize the last 14 days" thread by Anthem on his return:

Yeah the Pacers have been playing the on/and off basketball as usual. We're hot for a game or two. Then boom, playin like ***** and dropping two in a row. And the rumors I hear about JO's injury aren't good. I've heard he could be back soon, I've heard he's out the rest of the season. But hey there are 20 games left. Maybe we can go...13-7? That is what I am guessing, finishing the season 44-38. But hey I am just hoping for the best.

So I say 13-7 in our last 20, 44-38 overall hopefully stealing a 5 seed but we will probably get the 6. Hopefully

or our wins versus Golden State, Cleveland, and Miami...

Well GS ain't that great, and we had JO for the wins against Cleveland and Miami - completely different team.

They did play much better than I thought they would tonight against LA, though - but much much tougher opponents are over the horizon.

It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing
